To provide the best learning environment for the students of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), the blessing and turnover ceremony of the newly built event laboratory of the College of Management and Technology was held on July 2, 2024, the same day as the 68th founding anniversary of the College.

This facility offers students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practical settings, from classroom learning to hands-on experience. This enhances their skills and prepares them for real-world challenges in the field of event and hospitality management.

The blessing of the facility was officiated by Monsignor Rizalino “Noli” Francisco Jr., and the ribbon-cutting ceremony was spearheaded by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Services, Dr. Rachelle D. Lauriaga, and the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, Mr. Roderick D. Trio, on behalf of OIC-College President, Dr. Danilo P. Corteza. Also present were the CMT College Dean, Dr. Alma Freda D. Labos, along with faculty and staff.

This event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to elevate the educational standards and facilities at ZSCMST, ensuring that students receive the highest quality education and hands-on experience. The new event laboratory symbolizes the institution’s commitment to providing its students with the tools and learning environment necessary for academic and professional success.
