The College of Maritime Education (CME) Crackers from Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) participated in the Silent Drillers Competition on February 17, 2025, at the Capitol of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. This event was part of the 24th Araw ng Zamboanga Sibugay celebration.
Half of the CME Crackers wore white uniforms, while the other half wore black. White symbolizes purity, honor, and formality, representing discipline, prestige, and ceremonial elegance. On the other hand, black signifies respect and authority, embodying the strength and command of the team.
ZSCMST claimed the championship title, followed by Sibugay Technical Institute Inc. (STII) as the 2nd placer, while Medina College Inc. earned 3rd place.
During their execution, the CME Crackers performed the V formation, a drill maneuver where troop members arrange themselves in the shape of the letter Vβa symbol of victory and strength. The V formation often represents leadership guiding the group. This powerful formation signified the teamβs preparedness and strategic unity, reinforcing their discipline and coordination.
They were indeed victorious as they won the competition. The impressive performance of the CME Crackers reflects not only their outstanding skills but also the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Their victory also serves as a testament to the institutionβs dedication to excellence and the hard work.
Congratulations, CME Crackers! We are proud of you.
