Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, with College President Dr. Roy L. Valesco representing the institution, participated in a meeting reconvened by Commission on Higher Education Commissioner Michelle Aguilar Ong on July 8–9, 2026, at the Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
The meeting was also attended by 22 other State University and College (SUC) presidents, during which the projected outcomes identified in the December 2025 meeting were appraised.
The roundtable discussion concluded with a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement, advocating progressive higher education methods, as well as strategic collaboration with different stakeholders through the guidance of the Commission.#
