Enhorabuena, Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, for being recognized by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IX as a City/Provincial Finalist in the Tourism Start-Up Challenge 2025 for its project proposal entitled “Sama-Sama sa Dagat: A Community-Based Marine Ecotourism and Living Traditions Hub.”

The proposal, headed by Dr. Marlon Dennis C. Ochoa, together with students from the College of Business and Management: Cristine Mae E. Bustamante, Remson D. Brusett, Kristel Fay Baliton, Aldren Ordiz, Aubrey Queen Lumocso, and Dhianna B. Geronimo.

Conferred pursuant to Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2025-01 of the Commission on Higher Education and the Department of Tourism, and awarded at CHED Regional Office IX, this recognition highlights the continued excellence and impactful vision of the ZSCMST community, as well as its commitment to innovative and community-oriented initiatives.
