The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) is now holding its 4th Survey Visit Online Accreditation of the College of Maritime Education of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), from December 10 to December 12, 2025, at the AVR, ZSCMST.

This 4th survey revisit focuses on the research area and community service extension of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation programs.

Dr. Rocelyn R. Alabata, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, emphasized: “This visit is not merely a compliance check. It is a collaborative effort to fortify the academic foundation essential to the grand mission of the institution in its transformation toward University status.”

Concluding the program, Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez Jr., AACCUP CME Accreditor, reflected on the deeper meaning of the visit: “As Brian Tracy wisely said, ‘Excellence is not a destination; it is a continuous journey that never ends.’ Let us carry this mindset forward, collaborating with passion and purpose in our shared mission to achieve academic excellence across all programs in our institution.”

On Day 1, the taskforces presented the compliance report and narrative profile, followed by discussion, validation, and verification in the succeeding sessions.

This survey underscores the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology’s commitment to quality education and highlights the collective dedication of faculty, staff, and students to strengthen the programs’ research, community service, and academic standards.
