The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) successfully concluded its ISO 9001:2015 Certification Audit Stage 2 with a Closing Meeting held at the ZSCMST Octagon Hall on November 7, 2025.

The three-day audit, conducted by TÜV SÜD Philippines, was led by Engr. Christine Anne G. Formalejo (Lead Auditor), together with Ms. Zipporah Bernardo (Auditor) and Mr. Christian Louie S. Cuahong (Technical Expert). The audit team meticulously reviewed the College’s processes, documentation, and implementation of its Quality Management System (QMS).

During the closing program, Engr. Formalejo presented the audit results, confirming that the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard had been satisfied and that the issuance of the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate is recommended, following the submission of corrective action plans before the November 12, 2025 deadline.

College President Dr. Roy L. Valesco emphasized ZSCMST’s unwavering commitment to a culture of quality and continuous improvement, saying, “ZSCMST stands firm in its pursuit of a culture of quality and continuous improvement, anchored in its vision and mission, and accountability, excellence, and global competitiveness as it works to produce globally competent graduates, ready to make meaningful contributions to society.”

The program concluded with the Words of Commitment from Dr. Valesco, affirming the College’s dedication to sustaining a culture of excellence, accountability, and quality service.
