The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) continues to uphold its commitment to quality and excellence as it undergoes the ISO 9001:2015 Certification Audit Stage 2 from November 5–7, 2025, held at the ZSCMST Octagon Hall.

The certification audit is led by the team from TÜV SÜD, namely Engr. Christine Anne G. Formalejo, Lead Auditor; Ms. Zipporah Bernardo, Auditor; and Mr. Christian Louie S. Cuahong, Technical Expert. The three-day evaluation focuses on assessing the College’s compliance with international standards in quality management systems, ensuring that processes are efficient, consistent, and aligned with institutional goals.

College President Dr. Roy L. Valesco emphasized the importance of the audit as a vital step toward institutional growth and continuous improvement. He said “This Stage 2 audit provides us with the opportunity to validate how far we have come—our systems, policies, and actions translate into meaningful results and sustain improvements. We remain steadfast in upholding a quality management system that strengthens our internal operations and enhances our readiness to meet the demands of education, industry, and society.”

With this, ZSCMST reaffirms its commitment to delivering quality education and services, anchored on transparency and accountability.
