The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), through its Quality Assurance Office (QAO) headed by Director Esther T. Lim, successfully concluded today, August 20, 2025, its first-ever two-day In-House AACCUP Training and Accreditation Readiness Workshop held on August 19โ€“20, 2025, at the Octagon Hall, ZSCMST.

The initiative aimed to strengthen the collegeโ€™s local task force by equipping them with the necessary knowledge, tools, and mindset for accreditation preparedness, in alignment with AACCUP standards. The sessions included discussions on portfolio preparation, evidence packaging, and best practices, along with a mock site visit that allowed participants to experience real-time accreditation scenarios.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the Presentation of Outputs and Feedback. Each program presented its IIP Narratives and Compliance Reports, which were reviewed by the ZSCMST Self-Survey Team. Constructive feedback and recommendations were given, simulating the process of presenting documents to accreditors and providing participants with a clearer understanding of standards and expectations.

The successful conduct of this first-ever in-house training not only enhanced the preparedness of ZSCMST faculty but also demonstrated the institutionโ€™s proactive commitment to continuous improvement.
