The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) hosted the Marlow Navigation Phils. Cadetship Program Recognition July 11, 2025, at the ZSCMST Octagon. This event marked the successful completion of the selection process for students who passed the Deck and Engine Cadetship Program Examination conducted by Marlow Navigation Philippines in partnership with the College of Maritime Education (CME).

A message of appreciation was delivered by Capt. Marnette Apit, Dean of the College of Maritime Education, who highlighted the enduring partnership between ZSCMST and Marlow Navigation Philippines. “Marlow Navigation Philippines has long been a beacon of excellence in the maritime industry, and your decision to be here with us reaffirms our shared vision: to cultivate skilled, ethical, and globally competitive seafarers,” Capt. Apit expressed.

An inspirational message was also delivered by Mr. Joemar Masacote, Career Development Manager of Marlow Navigation Philippines, who motivated the passers to stay committed to excellence as they embark on a challenging yet rewarding maritime journey.

Finally, the program concluded with closing remarks from 3/E Porferio D. Bengel, Jr., CME Onboard Training Supervisor.

ZSCMST commends the newly recognized cadets for this milestone and remains committed to producing competent maritime professionals ready to serve on a global scale.
