The Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) visited the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) on May 27, 2025, for a benchmarking activity.

This collaborative initiative enabled both institutions to share best practices, learn from each other’s systems, and explore innovative approaches in higher education. An open forum followed the activity, providing a platform for insightful discussions and meaningful exchange of ideas.

ZSCMST President, Dr. Roy L. Valesco, expressed his full support for the activity, underscoring the importance of collaboration among higher education institutions to enhance the quality of education and promote institutional development. He warmly welcomed the NISU delegation and reaffirmed ZSCMST’s commitment to academic collaboration and continuous improvement.

Representing NISU at the event were: Dr. Lebni Bernardino Jr., Dr. Domingo Decrepito Jr., Dr. Jesusa A. Salido, Dr. Marigrace Astronomia, Dr. Mylene P. Estebal, Dr. Jeremias G. Gabion, and Dr. Noe Dasig Jr.

ZSCMST remains steadfast in its dedication to mutual learning and cooperation with fellow State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), in pursuit of academic excellence and institutional advancement.
