The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology held the Completion Ceremony of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) for Academic Year 2024โ€“2025 today, May 26, 2025, at the MCLL Gymnasium.

The NSTP is one of the institutionโ€™s key programs aimed at developing studentsโ€™ civic consciousness and commitment to nation-building. It plays a crucial role in preparing young Filipinos to become active, responsible, and service-oriented members of societyโ€”values deeply rooted in the mission of ZSCMST.

ZSCMST President Dr. Roy L. Valesco, in his inspirational message, encouraged the graduates to remain engaged citizens and continue their journey of public service beyond the program. โ€œLet the NSTP service guide your future. Continue to be part of solutions, not just observers of problems,โ€ he emphasized.

Serving as guest speaker was Dr. Vicente A. Regalado, Education Supervisor II of CHED Region IX, who spoke on the power of service and learning. He challenged the graduates to be educators in their own rightโ€”sharing knowledge and compassion within their communities and fostering collaboration for greater impact.

As the graduates move forward, they carry with them not just certificates of completion, but a renewed sense of purpose and a call to serve.
