The PhilHealth Local Health Office-Zamboanga City (LHIO-ZC), in partnership with the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), held an orientation program regarding the Konsulta (Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama) Package, on May 13, 2025, at the MCLL Gymnasium, ZSCMST. This event aimed to inform employees about their healthcare benefits under the Konsulta program and emphasize the importance of prioritizing their well-being.

ZSCMST is the first in Zamboanga City to officially signify its membership in the PhilHealth Konsulta (Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama) Program.

Dr. Roy L. Valesco, ZSCMST President, delivered a message highlighting the significance of the initiative. “This is an important initiative that underscores our shared belief that quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a right that every employee and Filipino should enjoy,” he stated. He encouraged all employees to avail this package, stressing that good health is essential in fulfilling their duties as educators and public servants.

Mr. Nadzmier A. Sajili, Head of LHIO Zamboanga City, expressed PhilHealth’s commitment to spreading awareness about healthcare benefits. “It is your right to gain proper information on your benefits. That is why we, at PhilHealth, are trying to do what we can to inform all our members with respect to their benefits,” he said. He added that through the Konsulta program, members are entitled to free medication provided by Konsulta-accredited providers.

Mr. Rafael F. Aizon from SIO-II led the detailed orientation on the Konsulta Package, followed by an open forum that gave attendees the opportunity to raise questions and gain further clarity.

The event concluded with a caravan, marking another step toward a more health-conscious and empowered ZSCMST workforce. True to its theme—“Unite. Innovate. Elevate.”—the institution continues to build a healthier and stronger future for its employees and community.
