The Zamboanga State College of Marine Science and Technology attended the Regional Development Council for Region IX (RDC-9) meeting, led by Mayor John Dalipe, at the Celebrity Hall, Astoria Plaza Hotel, on February 5, 2025, to review program and project proposals for the Fiscal Year 2026.

OIC-College President, Roderick D. Trio, presented the institution’s proposed programs and projects for FY 2026. Also present during the activity were Dr. Alvin C. Reyes, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Maila V. Pan, OIC-Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension; and representatives from the Planning Office and Finance Management Services of ZSCMST.

Key discussions centered on regional priority updates, infrastructure project revisions, inclusion of gender and development in FY 2026 Budget Proposal, Climate Change Expenditure Tagging (CCET), and technical assistance programs.

This review process strengthens transparency, accountability, and strategic resource distribution, paving the way for sustainable growth and inclusive development in the region.
