The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, College of Management and Technology, held its first-ever Pinning, Send-Off, and Candle Lighting Ceremony 2025 on January 17, 2025, at the Palacio del Sur, Zamboanga City.

This event was dedicated to the 4th-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students as they prepare to embark on their internship journey. OIC College President, Mr. Roderick D. Trio, graced the event and, in his speech, he encouraged the students to excel in their respective deployments, maintain professionalism and build strong relationships, and embrace real-life lessons that will serve as invaluable tools for their future careers. He highlighted that the experiences gained during this phase will shape them into competent professionals, ready to face the challenges of the industry.

Also in attendance were Mr. Gio Vergara and Rev. Pastor JZ Guilven Chavez as guest speakers, along with Dr. Rachel Lauriaga, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Alma Freda D. Labos, CMT Dean; faculty members; parents; and students.
