The College of Maritime Education continued its Level 4 accreditation process for the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation programs on December 12, 2024. Accreditors reviewed documents while CME faculty presented and defended the narrative profile.

The accreditors conducted a meticulous evaluation of documents, focusing on the mandatory areas outlined in the compliance report. This included substantial and mandatory documents addressing recommendations from previous assessments, as well as actions taken by the College of Maritime Education to meet these recommendations.

As part of the document presentation, the College highlighted its research initiatives, procedural manuals, graduate performance records, international linkages, planning processes, and community services under extension programs.

This rigorous process enables the accreditors to assess the College’s adherence to academic standards, providing a solid foundation for the accreditation process. It also helps identify areas of excellence and opportunities for further improvement.

The feedback gathered during this evaluation will serve as a valuable resource for the College of Maritime Education in its continuous efforts to enhance educational standards.
