In collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Miss ROTC Mindanao Leg 2024 competition was hosted at the Western Mindanao State University Gymnasium on June 22, 2024, with the theme “Husay ng ROTC, Husay ng Kabataan”. This prestigious event not only celebrated the talents, intelligence, and dedication of the 24 candidates but also underscored the significant role of ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) in nurturing leadership, discipline, and a strong sense of duty among the youth.

Ms. Juliane Terece Claudete F. Faustino, representing the ROTC 627th UZ unit affiliated to 627th Unit of ZSCMST, was crowned as the winner. She was coached by PO1 Marife R. Villafranca PN (Res) and the ZSCMST PICO Director, who was the overall coach for Miss ROTC 2024 Mindanao Leg for the entire Philippine Navy Miss ROTC candidates.

The presence of distinguished guests, including the Father of ROTC Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino, and Officials from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and various Universities, added significance to the occasion.

This event emphasized the profound impact of ROTC in shaping capable students to become leaders who are committed to serving their community and country.
