On June 22, 2024, a momentous occasion unfolded at the College of Maritime Education (CME) as the blessing and thanksgiving Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose Filmore Calibo. The ceremony celebrated the spiritual dedication of the College and the blessing of several key facilities essential to Maritime Education, including state-of-the-art facilities such as the cargo handling simulator room, Marine Engineering Boiler Room, Engine Simulator Room, and other CME facilities.

Present on this event were the former College President, Dr. Jaime G. Jalon; Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension, Dr. Rufa L. Mendez; Vice President for Academic Affairs and Services, Dr. Rachel D. Lauriaga; Vice President for Student Affairs and Academic Services, Mr. Roderick D. Trio; and College Dean C/E Christalyn DR. Chiong, alongside faculty and staff.
