On May 25, 2024, the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) College of Maritime Education conducted the donning of shoulder board ceremony at the MCLL Gymnasium, ZSCMST, with the theme “Sustaining the Maritime Industry through Excellence and Accountability.”

A total of 251 cadets were donned: 118 cadets from the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT), 123 cadets from the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE), and 26 cadets from the Diploma in Marine Electronics and Communication Technology (DMECT).

The ceremony was graced by Capt. Carlo D. Bonoan, Senior Crewing Superintendent of Senator Crewing Manila, Inc. In his speech, he offered encouragement and words of wisdom to the cadets, saying, “I encourage you to embrace challenges and be committed to your goals. In order to achieve your goals, it is essential to set goals that motivate you. You should be specific and focused.”

These cadets have successfully completed and passed all the requirements to undergo apprenticeship for the batch of 2024-2025.

Congratulations to the newly donned cadets! Indeed, you have shown outstanding dedication and commitment. God bless you with your upcoming apprenticeship!
