1,000 student beneficiaries were empowered by Sen. Imee Marcos at the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, thanks to the generous funding of the Office of Senator Imee R. Marcos through DSWD the AICS Educational Assistance Grants, which are worth 5,000 pesos each. Dr. Jaime G. Jalon, the president of ZSCMST College, welcomed guests and observers to the occasion.

Senator Marcos also added that the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation serves as a social safety net or a stopgap measure to help people and families recover from unforeseen crises like illness or the death of a family member, among other crises.

Hon. City Mayor John Dalipe, Congressman Khymer Adan Olaso of the 1st District, , DSWD RD Riduan P. Hadjimuddin, and ARD Socorro Macaso were among the notable people present.
