We are very pleased to share the research and scholastic achievements made by our own CELA faculty and staff!

First off, several participants from our faculty participated in the International Conference on Applied Linguistics and Language Education held on October 19 to 21 at De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines. Dr. Armand H. Lee, the College Dean, presented his paper co-authored with Dr. Ericson O. Alieto of Western Mindanao State University entitled “Online Teaching Self-Efficacy and its Affective Variables: A Structural Equation Modeling Approach”. Alongside, Mr. Luis Roberto P. Soliman presented their paper co-authored with Dr. Armand H. Lee and Dr. Gefilloyd L. De Castro entitled: “Lexical and Grammatical Features of Regulatory City Ordinances in the Philippines”.

Secondly, Mr. Gualberto Lantaya presented his paper on “Economic Importance and Traditional Knowledge on Macroalgae among Locals of Pasilmanta, Sacol Island, Zamboanga City, Philippines” in the 7th International Conference on Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences on October 18 to 20 at Iloilo City, Philippines. He has also visited the Philippine Genome Center (Visayas) and the Regional Research Center (RRC) at the UP Visayas, Miagao Campus on October 20, 2023 alongside representatives from the Office of the Vice-President for Research, Innovation, and Extension.

Last but not the least, Ms. Micah Ezra C. Aquino presented her paper entitled “Home-based Activities in Distance Learning of BSED Science: Basis for Instructional Development Plan” at the 25th SPVM National Physics Conference held at Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City, Philippines on October 21, 2023.
