Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines – Nine Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED) Science students and their advisers from Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) recently participated in the prestigious Philippine Conference in Graduate Education Research. The International Association of Scholarly Publishers, Editors, and Reviewers (IASPER) organized the conference from May 17th to 19th, 2023, at the N Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City. The ZSCMST students had the opportunity to present their research findings and walked away with several well-deserved awards.

The conference provided a platform for researchers, scholars, and educators to share their insights, discuss the latest developments in various fields, and promote scholarly collaboration. The BSED Science students and their advisers of ZSCMST showcased their remarkable research work, gaining recognition and acclaim from the esteemed panel of judges and conference attendees.

Dr. Edwin R. de los Reyes, one of the accomplished faculty members from ZSCMST and the research adviser of the students, stood out among his peers, receiving both the Article Citation Award and the Best Abstract in Meta-Analysis award a shared recognition with his student. Dr. de los Reyes’ dedication and expertise in education research were recognized and celebrated at the conference.

Prof. Esther T. Lim, another outstanding ZSCMST faculty member and the program adviser of BSED Sciences, demonstrated her exceptional skills in experimental research. Her hard work and innovative approach earned her the Best Paper in Experimental Research award. Additionally, Ms. Lim’s eloquence and ability to captivate the audience during her presentation led her to secure the Best in Oral Presentation award in Plenary Session under Professional Category.

For Student Category, Ms. Jesha Mae M. Pasco, a talented BSED Science, was recognized for her exceptional abstract in meta-analysis. Her thorough analysis and comprehensive understanding of the subject matter earned her the Best Abstract in Meta-Analysis award, validating her dedication to producing high-quality research1. Mr. John Paul F. Acervo, another remarkable BSED Science student, impressed the judges and attendees with his confident and engaging oral presentation skills. His ability to effectively convey his research findings during the Parallel Session resulted in him being awarded the Best in Oral Presentation. Mr. Alexis Lourence L. Samson, another deserving BSED Science student, showcased his research prowess during the Plenary Session, earning him recognition for his outstanding performance as Best in Oral Presentation of his study.

The presence of Dr. Antonino E. Godinez and Dr. Melchor B. Brillantes, both esteemed faculty members from ZSCMST, as session judges and session managers in other categories further reinforced the commitment of ZSCMST to fostering academic excellence and research in the various fields.
