The ZSCMST team attended the two-day LUDIP colloquium at the Grand Regal Hotel in Davao on March 29 and 30, headed by College President Dr. Jaime G. Jalon, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Alvin C. Reyes, and Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Mr. Roderick D. Trio. Dr. Oliver D. Tito, Dr. Melchor C. Brillantes, Dr. Antonino E. Godinez, Dr. Edwin R. de los Reyes, Engr. Giovanni Y. Lim and Ms. Ma. Katrina Y. Marcos were present to support as ZSCMST LUDIP Chair, focal persons, and ICT representative, respectively. The Central Mindanao University LUDIP Technical Working Group put on the colloquium under the direction of Program Leader Dr. Jupiter V. Casas and in cooperation with the Commission on Higher Education agency.

The eleven (11) SUCs that participated in the colloquium were Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture (ASSCAT) and Technology, Bukidnon State University (BukSU), Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSU), Caraga State University (CarSU), Central Mindanao University (CMU), Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC), Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), Sulu State College (SSC), Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) – during the first day of the colloquium, college and university presidents and delegates discussed their preparation for the LUDIP experiences, difficulties, and lessons learned. The College and University Presidents delivered the LUDIP report on the second day, and socializing occurred in the evening. The CHED-CMU LUDIP TWG’s support in designing, creating, and capacitating Philippine State Universities and Colleges in sustainable Land Use Development and Infrastructure Planning (LUDIP) was greatly appreciated by SUCs.
