The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), under the leadership of College President, Dr. Roy L. Valesco, Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Alvin C. Reyes, and Dr. Roderick D. Trio, Director for Administrative Division, participated in a coordination meeting on October 15, 2026, at Conference Room, City Hall of Zamboanga.

Dr. Valesco, Dr. Reyes, and Dr. Trio were chosen to be members of the Technical Working Group (TWG) for the said activity and ZSCMST has been selected to co-host WorldSkills Philippines Zamboanga 2027. This activity will bring together young skilled individuals, trainers, educators, industry partners, and participating institutions. This was organized in preparation for the upcoming WorldSkills Philippines Zamboanga 2027, an event that aims to showcase the skills and competencies of Filipino youth in technical and vocational education and training.

The discussion centered on preparations for the event, including the coordination of participating schools and other agencies, as well as upcoming meetings and other necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the activity.
