The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) congratulates Louise Cyril P. Boholst and Shaynne Andre Maritan of the College of Maritime Education (CME) for their recognition in the national competitions held in celebration of the 31st National Seafarers’ Day.

Louise Cyril P. Boholst, BS Marine Transportation 4th Class, was named Champion in the Boses ng Marino: Karaoke Showdown, while Shaynne Andre Maritan, BS Marine Engineering 3rd class, secured 2nd Place in the 19th National Oratorical Contest.

Both representatives, coached by Ms. Marife Villafranca, competed at the NCCA Intramuros, Manila, and were proclaimed and awarded in Pasay City as part of the 27th National Maritime Week Celebration, held from September 20–27, 2026, and organized by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), spearheaded by AOS-Stella Maris.
