Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), led by College President Dr. Roy L. Valesco, joined higher education institutions and stakeholders in the 2026 ASEAN Culminating Activity and Awarding Ceremony themed “Navigating Our Future Together,” held on September 18, 2026, at the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) Gymnasium.

Organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and hosted by WMSU, the event celebrated achievements and initiatives that promote ASEAN engagement, internationalization, and collaboration among higher education institutions.

ZSCMST likewise received recognition from the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, with the awards received by College President Dr. Roy L. Valesco and Director of the Internationalization and Linkages Office Dr. Abee M. Eijansantos. The College placed Top 26 out of 100 in B8: University Brand and Reputation and Top 44 out of 100 in A3: Industrial Application.

ZSCMST also earned 2nd Place in the ASEAN Dance Competition through its College Performing Arts Group (CPAG), showcasing the College’s talent and cultural representation on the ASEAN stage.

These achievements underscore ZSCMST’s continuing engagement in regional and international initiatives and its efforts to advance institutional visibility, innovation, industry engagement, and global linkages.
