At the wee hours of the morning, government employees geared up in running shoes and running gears to register at the Paseo del Mar, Zamboanga City Sunday, September 13, 2026, for the simultaneous conduct of Lingkod Bayani Run 2026, organized by the Philippine Civil Service Commission.

The nationwide Fun Run is part of the 126th Celebration of the Philippine Civil Service guided by the subtheme Pinalakas na Puso, promoting wellness, unity, compassion, and public service pride among government employees and citizens while strengthening solidarity and shared purpose in serving communities.

Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology is but one among at least thousands of government workers who celebrated with the event, along with at least 17 regions, that pre-registered according to the Philippine Civil Service website.

The activity also celebrates government employees as silent heroes amid changing times, calamities, and wider reach of the Philippine population, innate in the country’s unified drive to progress.
