The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) conducted the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill on September 1, 2026, at the ZSCMST Grounds, in coordination with the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ZCDRRMO), and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).

The purpose of the activity is to strengthen the preparedness and response capabilities of the ZSCMST community in addressing emergencies and other safety-related incidents.

A key component of the activity was the Active Shooter Response Drill, which highlighted the basic principles of Lockdown, Evacuate, and Communicate. Students, faculty, and personnel participated in the drill to practice appropriate emergency responses and enhance their awareness of safety procedures.

ZSCMST extends its sincere appreciation to its partner agencies, particularly the ZCPO, ZCDRRMO, and SWAT , for their valuable support and guidance in the successful conduct of the drill.
