The Sangguniang Panlunsod of Zamboanga City formally recognizes Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology for placing 6^th in the October 2025 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals.

The recognition was formally given during the regular session on September 1, 2026 through a Resolution of Commendation sponsored by District 1 Councilor Joselito Macrohon and the August body.

The Zamboanga City Council also commends the outstanding performance of ZSCMST for placing 82.14% over-all passing rate, and for ranking as one of the most top performing schools nationwide.
