The College of Teacher Education (CTE) of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) conducted a 2-Day Curriculum Review and Consultative Forum on July 29โ30, 2026, at the Audio Visual Room, bringing together faculty members and key stakeholders in a collaborative effort to strengthen the collegeโs academic programs.
Anchored on the theme, โCurriculum Alignment and Systematic Teaching: A Quality Assurance Initiative,โ the activity aims to ensure that the Collegeโs curriculum and course syllabi remain responsive, relevant, and aligned with current educational standards, institutional goals, and quality assurance frameworks.
The first day of the forum focused on gathering valuable insights and recommendations from stakeholders regarding the implementation of the current curriculum. Their feedback will serve as an essential reference in enhancing course syllabi and improving instructional delivery to better address the evolving needs of learners and the education sector.
The second day centered on the comprehensive review and refinement of course syllabi, ensuring alignment of course outcomes, learning activities, assessment strategies, and instructional approaches. This collaborative process is expected to strengthen the quality and consistency of instruction across all teacher education programs.
The curriculum review also reflected the Collegeโs commitment to continuous quality improvement and academic excellence while preparing for future developments in higher education policies and teacher education standards.
Through this initiative, the College of Teacher Education reaffirms its dedication to producing competent, ethical, innovative, and globally competitive educators equipped to meet the demands of 21st-century education.
