The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) of Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), through the initiative of the Center for Continuing Education (CCE), conducted the first-ever Faculty Induction, Readiness, and Skills Training (FIRST) for newly hired teaching personnel on September 26–27, 2025 at the Octagon Hall, ZSCMST.

The two-day program served as a structured orientation and capacity-building activity designed to familiarize new faculty members with their academic-related functions and equip them to contribute effectively to the institution’s mandate.

During the training, participants engaged in various sessions that tackled key areas of professional growth and institutional policies.

This activity aims to ensure that the new teaching personnel are equipped to uphold the standards of the College and to contribute to the institution.
