The College of Maritime Education (CME) of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) conducted its two-day Strategic Planning and Curriculum Review for 2025–2030, with the theme “Sailing Forward: Aligning CME’s Direction with the New ZSCMST Vision-Mission”, on September 12-12, 2025 at Octagon Hall, ZSCMST. This activity will serve as a platform to evaluate the current curriculum and craft strategies.

It featured both presentations and workshop sessions, giving participants the opportunity to actively contribute their ideas in shaping the direction of their academic programs.

Dr. Alvin C. Reyes, Vice President for Administration and Finance, highlighted in his message the importance of the activity, stating: “This strategic planning is not merely an exercise, it is our compass for transformation. It empowers us to create lasting change.”

Faculty members and staff of CME participated in the event, consolidating their insights and recommendations to strengthen their academic offerings and uphold the College’s commitment to producing globally competitive maritime graduates.
