The New College President of Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), Dr. Roy L. Valesco, visited the institution on March 6-7, 2025 to conduct an initial ocular inspection in preparation for his tenure as College President, for him to be acquainted with the process in the institution, and to identify the needs to enhance its overall operations.

During his visit, Dr. Valesco assessed the college’s facilities and engaged with faculty and staff to gain insights concerning their current working conditions and needs. He instructed personnel concerned to renovate the classrooms and offices, as well as to immediately repair essential utilities, including electricity, faucets, lights, and air conditioning units.

His proactive approach signals a strong commitment to improving the learning and working environment at ZSCMST, ensuring that both students and personnel have access to well-maintained facilities.

His visit was met with a positive reception from the employees, who expressed optimism and support for his leadership, recognizing his dedication to institutional development and employee welfare.
