The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) officially commenced its AACCUP Accreditation Survey Visit on October 21, 2026, at the College Audio-Visual Room (AVR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-day accreditation survey visit, scheduled from October 21 to 23, 2026, covers five academic programs: Master of Arts in Home Economics, Master in Public Management, Master in Maritime Management, Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, and Bachelor of Science in Fisheries major in Post-Harvest Technology (Ladderized).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his message, College President Dr. Roy L. Valesco emphasized the significance of accreditation as an opportunity to evaluate institutional practices, assess academic programs, and strengthen the College\u2019s commitment to quality education and continuous improvement. He underscored the importance of ensuring that academic programs remain relevant, responsive, and aligned with the evolving needs of students, communities, and the industries they serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Reynaldo T. Gelido, Cluster 2 Coordinator, presented the statement of purpose and discussed the procedures governing the accreditation process, providing guidance on the activities and assessments to be undertaken. This was followed by program-level breakout sessions to facilitate the evaluation of the respective academic programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this accreditation process, ZSCMST reaffirms its commitment to quality assurance, evidence-based evaluation, and continuous improvement in delivering relevant and responsive higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
