The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) participated in the Viberun: Takbo para sa mga Servant Heroes, an event in celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. This Color Fun Run, held on September 1, 2024, at 4:00 AM, aimed to foster goodwill, camaraderie, and promote health and wellness among the workforce in the bureaucracy.

The 3km run started and ended at the Motorcycle Parking Area of KCC Mall de Zamboanga.

ZSCMST was recognized for having the highest number of runners participating in the event.
